Whether you have never dived before, or if you are looking at furthering your diving education, there is a variety of courses to suit every level. No previous experience is necessary. Non-English speaking courses are also available.

Learn To Dive – Open water

4 days is all it takes to become a certified diver, which will give you a licence to enjoy your new-found sport anywhere in the world. However, to really gain the maximum confidence and understanding, the 5 day course is the more popular choice. The 5 day course will have you doing up to 11 dives, including a night dive.

Days 1 and 2 of all courses is spent in Cairns with your instructor, who will teach you, via classroom presentations and lectures, the theory of scuba diving. Then it’s off to one of the pool training complexes, where you will begin to master your new skills.

Days 3, 4 and/or 5 are spent diving the reef. For the budget courses, these are day trips, but for slightly more expensive courses, they are liveaboard trips. As few as 4 training dives (which are completed by day 4) will qualify you as a certified diver. From then on, you are able to enjoy the remainder of your dives as a recreational diver. For the overnighters, you will also have your first opportunity for a night dive.

Requirements:
- Minimum age – 12 years
- Ability to swim
- A history of asthma and some other medical conditions may exclude you from diving. A mandatory medical examination is conducted on the first day of all courses

Advanced Open Water Course

This course is available to certified divers. You will gain added confidence and experience through additional training and skills, which include deep diving and navigation. It is a 3 day / 2 night course, comprising up to 11 dives, including 2 night dives.

Rescue Diver Course

This course offers valuable life-saving and CPR skills to prepare you for any rescue situation. Carried out over 5 days, days 1 and 2 are pool and theory, with days 3, 4 & 5 spent on the reef.

Dive Master Course

If you are thinking of making a career of diving, this is the next course for you. With a combination of pool, classroom and reef trips, you will learn boat-diving operations, advanced navigation and skills to help with the organization, conduct and supervision of recreational divers. You will need approximately 20 days, depending on the company you use.
